Purpose, Databases

Access to chemistry bibliographic data.

Databases:

CAplus: Chemistry bibliographic references with abstracts and index terms. Ca. 22 million entries ("document references"), coverage 1907 - present.
CAS Registry: CAS Registry Numbers for ca. 20 million organic and inorganic compounds, coverage 1957 - present.
CASREACT: Ca. 6 million single- and multi-step reactions, coverage 1907 - present.
Medline: Bibliographic references, coverage 1958 - present.
Further databases: CHEMCATS (commercially available chemicals), CHEMLIST (chemical regulatory information)

Restrictions

Freie Universität Berlin, access from domain fu-berlin.de (e.g. ChemNet, ZEDAT or dialup@ZEDAT): only 5 concurrent sessions!

System availability: The operating hours for SciFinder Scholar are - Sunday 01:00 until Saturday 22:00.
On the first Saturday of each month, SciFinder Scholar will only be available until 17:00, and will not be accessible again until 01:00 the following day (Sunday).
