How to reach the Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry - Crystallography

The Institute of Chemistry and Biochemistry - Crystallography is located in the
building Takustrasse 6. It is situated in the municipal district
Zehlendorf of Berlin, the neighborhood is called Dahlem. It is
not far from the Botanic Gardens. You can easily find it on the
sketch map. It is labeled with 'IKr'.
By Public Transportation
Subway (Underground), "U-Bahn"
The nearest subway station ("U") is Dahlem-Dorf, the line is
now called U3 (formerly known as U1). You reach the institute
after a short walk (500 m, 1600 ft): go to the right into the
Königin-Luise-Strasse, after less than 100 m (300 ft) turn
off right into the Takustrasse. The institute is situated at the
other end of the street on the right-hand side, as shown on the
sketch map.
Bus
A bus stop of line 101 (e.g., from Breitenbachplatz) is situated in
the Altensteinstrasse at the corner Limonenstrasse.
The Limonenstrasse leads directly to the institute.
City Railway, "S-Bahn"
The nearest station of the city railway ("S-Bahn"),
Botanischer Garten (Botanic Gardens, line S1) is about 1 km (3300 ft)
away from the institute.
By Car
A parking lot is situated opposite to the institute, the entrance,
going downhill, is from the Schwendenerstrasse. The
Takustrasse is a one-way street from the
Königin-Luise-Strasse towards the Schwendenerstrasse.
However, the parking lot is also accessible from the side of the
Altensteinstrasse.
Approach from the Expressway
From the expressway A100: intersection Wilmersdorf to A104
(direction Steglitz), exit Breitenbachplatz, turn off right into the
Schorlemerallee, turn off left into the Englerallee, straight across
the Königin-Luise-Strasse into the Altensteinstrasse,
turn off right into the Schwendenerstrasse, keep right, the entrance
of the parking lot is immediately to the right (downhill).
Or A100, intersection Schöneberg to A103 (direction Zehlendorf)
till the end (Schlossstrasse/Wolfensteindamm),
straight ahead, Unter den Eichen, turn off right into the
Fabeckstrasse, turn off right into the Altensteinstrasse,
turn off left into the Limonenstrasse which leads straight to the
parking lot.
Driving to Berlin from the West or the South
From the west (highway A2) or the south (highway A9) to
"Berliner Ring" (A10), intersection Drewitz to A115/AVUS,
exit Hüttenweg, Hüttenweg, turn off left into the
Clayallee, turn off right into the Königin-Luise-Strasse,
turn off right into the Takustrasse.
