Viewmol was developed in the Arbeitsgruppe Quantenchemie an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Max-Planck-Gesellschaft. The idea for the programme and most of the code was provided by Jörg-R. Hill. The routines for reading GAUSSIAN 92 data were written by Andreas Bleiber, starting from the code first written by Andreas Bünger. These routines were later enhanced by Andries de Man. The DMOL data reading subroutine was written by Arne Dummer. The calculation of the inelastic neutron scattering intensities was first written by Mariann Krossner.
