The seminar "modern NMR methods" shall give an overview over modern two-dimensional NMR techniques, which are important particularly for organic chemists.

The scope is ca. 8 times two hours, i.e. 1 SWS. Computer exercises are an integral part of the course. The seminar might be presented mainly in English.

• introduction to pulse FT NMR
• important 2D NMR methods: COSY, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY/ROESY
• overview over further methods
• manipulation of spectra with "Delta"
• shift prediction: ChemDraw Ultra, NMRPrediction
• NMR websites (portals): SpectroscopyNow, ...
• NMR data bases: SDBS, NMRShiftDB, SpecInfo
• structure generators: Molgen, Assemble2
